  • 750g chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 3 tsp garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 500g broccoli florets, room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In the slow cooker, combine chicken chunks, quartered onions, crushed garlic, and minced ginger.
  2. Pour in chicken stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil; mix well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours until chicken is tender.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water; stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  5. Add broccoli florets; cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until heated through.
