  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice blend
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 46 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until it turns amber. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix in sugars, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, oats, chai spice blend, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  4. Chill the dough for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Form dough into balls and flatten slightly. Bake for 12–14 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  6. While cooling, prepare the maple glaze by whisking powdered sugar, chai spices, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and heavy cream until smooth. Adjust consistency as desired.
  7. Once cooled completely, ice the cookies with the glaze and let sit for at least 10 minutes before serving.
