- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt ¾ tablespoon of butter and sauté the chopped green bell pepper and onion until softened (3-4 minutes). Remove from pan.
- In the same skillet, add another ¾ tablespoon of butter and cook the rib-eye steak seasoned with salt and pepper until browned (3-4 minutes).
- Combine the sautéed vegetables back with the steak in the skillet.
- Assemble egg rolls by placing half a slice of provolone cheese and 2-3 tablespoons of the filling mixture on each wrapper. Fold and seal securely.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown (3-5 minutes per batch).
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
