  • 1 pound turkey breast (leftover or deli)
  • 12-count King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 2 medium tomatoes (sliced)
  • 810 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese (grated)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour for about 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add milk while whisking until thickened. Stir in seasonings and cheeses until smooth.
  4. Slice the rolls horizontally and place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  5. Layer turkey slices, tomatoes, and crumbled bacon on the rolls.
  6. Pour cheese sauce over the layers and cover with the top half of the rolls.
  7. Brush with garlic butter mix and bake covered for 15 minutes, then uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
