- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 ½ cups whole milk

- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear in a large skillet with olive oil until golden brown (4-5 minutes per side). Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, boil chicken broth with salt. Add rice and simmer for 15–18 minutes until tender; fluff with a fork.
- In the same skillet used for chicken, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until golden brown before gradually adding milk and broth to create a smooth sauce. Stir in garlic powder, thyme, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan until thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it and cover; simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve over the fluffy rice garnished with fresh parsley.
