  • 2 tbsp (25 g) granulated white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (112 g) unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) heavy cream
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 1/2 cup (112 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (220 g) light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup (116 g) honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp (84 g) unsalted butter
  • 6 oz (170 g) cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup (97 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • pinch of cloves

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to 110°F and combine with yeast and sugar; let it foam for 5-10 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, spices, salt, and sugar.
  3. Mix eggs, vanilla extract, and softened butter into the yeast mixture.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until smooth; knead for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough, spread the chai filling generously, then roll up and slice.
  7. Bake until golden brown and top with chai cream cheese frosting and caramel sauce.
