- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound large shrimp, raw and deveined
- 1 pound top sirloin steak, cut into cubes
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons blackened seasoning
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot; add penne pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Toss shrimp with 1 teaspoon blackened seasoning. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook shrimp until pink (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, cook seasoned steak for 5-7 minutes until browned but tender. Remove from heat.
- Melt butter in the skillet; sauté onion until translucent. Add garlic, then gradually stir in heavy cream.
- Slowly mix in parmesan until melted; season with remaining blackened seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add cooked pasta, shrimp, and steak to coat evenly.
- Serve hot garnished with chopped parsley.
