  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) red kidney beans
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté diced onion for 3–4 minutes until soft.
  2. Add minced garlic; cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in ground beef and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned; drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Mix in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional minute.
  5. Stir in tomato paste, followed by diced tomatoes and beef broth; mix well.
  6. Add kidney and black beans; simmer uncovered for 30–40 minutes until thickened.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving hot.
