  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the creamed mixture, then fold in mashed bananas.
  5. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, gradually adding powdered sugar and vanilla.
